Washington/Miami, US, Mar 28 (EFE).-
The third set of “No Kings” protests since President Donald Trump took office for a second time in 2025 began on Saturday in the United States.
Organizers expect over 3,000 rallies across the country, the largest mobilization to date against President Trump, the war in Iran, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The coalition of over 400 groups, including Amnesty International, Indivisible, labor unions, and the American Civil Liberties Union, expects to surpass the turnout of the previous two events: 7 million attendees at 2,700 events in October and 5 million protesters at 2,100 locations in June 2025.
The marches, taking place in all 50 states, are protesting President Trump’s second-term policies, particularly regarding alleged abuses by ICE and immigration raids, which in January resulted in the deaths of two US citizens in Minnesota.

They will also focus on condemning Trump’s war in Iran, which marks its one-month anniversary on Saturday.
“Americans may disagree on policy, but we agree on two fundamental values: that we should be governed by ourselves, not kings, and that there is a basic goodness at our core. That’s why I’m not surprised that millions of Americans refuse to be cowed by the federal government’s abuses of power and are saying ‘count me in’ for No Kings,” said AFT President Randi Weingarten.
“America is at an inflection point. Our communities are hurting. People are afraid, and they can’t afford basic necessities. It’s time the administration listened and helped them build a better life rather than stoking hate and fear,” she added.

The main rally was scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Central Time in Minnesota, where ICE and the Border Patrol killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti, two US citizens, in January, which intensified national outrage against Trump’s immigration raids.
In Minneapolis, the state’s largest city, progressive Senator Bernie Sanders, actress Jane Fonda, and leaders of the nation’s largest labor unions, including Liz Schuler, president of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), are expected to participate.

The demonstrations come as Trump’s disapproval rating reaches its highest level of his two terms, with 59% of Americans disapproving of his performance, according to a Fox News poll released on Wednesday. EFE
